Im interested in getting some almond milk but if it has been heat treated then certainly it is going to stay on the shelf lol.

I just made some today and will do the same tomorrow as well!

It's SUPER easy. I soaked 1 cup of raw almonds over night, drain, rinse well. I removed this skins, not sure if that's necessary or not but took no time and they are easy to remove. Threw them in the blender with 4 cups of water, blend, blend, blend. Strain with cheese cloth or nut bag and tadaa, YUMMY Almond milk!!

We added a little stevia to it as well. LOts of variations out there. I read it keeps for 2 - 3 days.

Almond milk - any kind of nut milk, in fact - is super-easy to make yourself at home (as you can see by the recipes above). One thing I really like about making my own is that I can do as much or as little as I need. This is very handy since I am usually uncooking only for myself.
