So for the longest time in my health journey i'd never thought i'd end up on a raw foods forum or even buying the raw food book/dvd set from Alissa. I've tried being vegetarian my freshman year of college and yea that only lasted 2 weeks. Recently i embarked on an intermittent fasting journey which is where you have normal eating hours and then the next day only a 6-8hr eating window and you alternate and this helps you get some sort of calorie deficit by the end of the week so that you're burning more calories than you consume. Now while doing this i'm still eating healthy. But every week i'd challenge myself when it comes to fitness or food. I decided to a whole week of no breads and meats just fruits and veggies and i did it but it was hard! But i loved not being so reliant on animal product (except cheese i love cheese). Then i started thinking about trying to become a low meat(eat meat once in a while but i love my sushi so that had to stay lol) vegetarian again and i ended up coming across this raw site while i was looking for juicing recipes. I was so intrigued by the food pictures of Alissa's book because i'm a normal college student i need quick meals that still have a variety and make me feel somewhat normal when eating like the lasagna or burgers the fact that there was some form of raw bread made me smile! And i love making stuff in the kitchen so i figure maybe this could be fun..but i'm nervous it'll be too expensive or just tooo much time and i'll struggle or get bored. Also reading people saying i ate raw ice cream all day made me jealous!!!! I'm excited to give the raw 30 day challenge a try. Not so much to hopefully lose that last 5lbs but for the overall health benefits. I ordered my book/dvd last night hopefully it comes Saturday so i can get started for July :D
