I'm not too well up on what will make my blood sugar spike so can anyone let me know about these?

Not supposed to eat any sugar/sweetener after cancer but am unsure whether these are ok.

Organic Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract
Coconut sugar.

I
Organic Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract
Coconut sugar.

I would consider all of these to be out for you. I would rule out anything that is not a wholefood. You need the fibre to deaden the mitigate of the sugar.

I am not a nutritionist or dietitian, but they seem fine

Dates makes a fine sweetener.

I wouldn't deprive myself with organic berries though. They are powerful anti-oxidant and low glycemic index.

Start juicing (leafy greens)- carrot, sweet red pepper, cucumber will sweet it.

Consider wheat grass.

Do your best and let go of being perfectionist. Remember, every positive steps that you do for you, count.

Watch a diet for all reason, a diet for a new America, read the China study, these will motivate you and give you good ground that you are on the right path.

Our body is so forgiving, you will be this perfect healthy being and feel it now, for it is done.

I think that advice is a load of rubbish, our bodies run on mainly glucose(sugar) so its impossible not to eat sugar as most of our food is converted to it. If youre worrying about blood sugar spikes, dont eat a lot of fat(ie gourmet raw), as the fat digests slowly and when you eat sugar(fruits or refined) afterwards they will get trapped and cause havoc because the sugar digests faster and cannot be absorbed properly due to the fat intake plugging up the system.

Thanks everyone. Great advice!

I don't eat a lot of gourmet raw (fat), try to stick so much with leafy greens.

I've read the China Study and am making my way through so many books on nutrition which is great.

I also do a shot of wheatgrass every morning.

I do still eat organic berries, I love to add the odd blueberry to my cookies and things like that. Just finding it extremely difficult to avoid all fruit so maybe I am being too harsh on myself. Too much of a perfectionist!

I am confused here. Are we talking about sugar that is naturally in wholefoods or something that is derived origanally from a wholefood but has been processed and removed from it's natural package.
I am not that familiar with the foods that you mentioned but they looked fractional to me.

Hi Sport,

I was told to avoid sugar in whole foods too aswell as any refined sweetners.

I actually was avoiding Dates too as I thought they were too high on the GI Index.
