Does anyone have any recipes for breakfasts without fruit? I don't eat much fruit at all after Breast Cancer and am struggling to not eat basically the same thing every morning. Its getting very boring.
I wouldn't want a green smoothie first thing in the morning as its just veg so something else would be better. Any ideas?
Thanks

you aren't leaving much option for variety when you remove fruit and veg from the list of things to eat.
There are Grawnola recipes on this site - just do a banana search - and you could have this with homemade nut milk for example.

Fruit is very healthy. Are you not eating it on purpose or do you just not feel like fruit right now?
You could do a chia pudding with almond milk. Make it the night before, put it in the refrigerator, and it's all ready for you in the morning.

Maybe some soaked buckwheat with some almond milk. It would probably be pretty bland with out honey or fruit, but maybe you could add some cinnamon or nutmeg.

Thanks guys.
Shona, I'm trying to follow the Hippocrates healing and in that there is no fruit after cancer. Too much sugar in it.
I do have a green juice and a shot of wheatgrass but that definitely does not tie me over until lunch time.
I sprout buckwheat and mix that in with some almonds, rice milk, goji berries, chia seeds but this is about as far as I've got and it gets a bit repetitive.
I do have some chia seeds (the black ones don't look so appetizing) mixed with hemp powder too. Just trying to find more variety is all.

I looooove chia pudding. It's great for breakfast (but I use a bit of agave in it). :)
I also soak oat groats (though there is discussion about whether or not this is raw but you could do other grains) and grind them up in the food processor with savory spices. I like to use a bit of salt and cayenne. Sometimes I make a curry one. I don't always care for sweet in the morning.
I also eat raw crackers with nut spreads sometimes as well. It's kind of like having pizza for breakfast (which you could do with the raw pizza). :) The possibilities are endless. Anything you have for any meal can be your first meal.
Also, if you juice, carrot and beets are sweet by themselves. Juicing them with greens and some ginger and garlic and then adding a bit of apple cider vinegar and cayenne is really good too. You can build up the ginger, garlic and cayenne for some good detoxing (beets are awesome for detox, too).
I just started the master cleanse so ALL of that sounds amazing at the moment, lol.
Good luck finding what works for you. :)

Anything you can eat for lunch or dinner can be eaten for breakfast. There are also recipes floating around for raw pancakes and "bacon"....
You can make all kinds of patties with nuts and veggies, wrap them in lettuce or cabbage.. Loaves.... Hummus, tabouli, salsa and wrap 'em up with nut mixes ....
Alissa's got over 300 recipes in her book. Pretty sure you can find something there, yes?
