I recently read about a machine that stone grinds almonds and other nuts and makes liquidy, creamy, nut butter. The only problem is it costs over $400.00 and takes a few hours to make, which is fine, but I really don't want to have to pay that much money if there is another way to do it. Has anyone made really high quality, smooth, nut butters, if so, how did you do it?? Thanks.

My standard Target/ Kmart variety food processor makes creamy nut butters in minutes and they cost less than $75.00.

RAW not roasted nuts. Depending on the dish you are trying to make a little coconut oil or EVOO may add in the process but usually just giving the nuts time to grind to a flour and then a cream as the oils are released is enough.

Make sure you process it long enough. It can take 15 or even 20 minutes depending on the processor or blender to get to the right creamy consistency.
