I've been thinking about going raw for ages now and I've finally decided to just go ahead and do it. I'm trying to slowly work more raw into my diet. Right now I'm planning on one cooked meal a day until I get used to the raw food and then doing away with that. I don't know that I want to go 100% raw but I'd still like to aim reasonably high.
Yesterday I had a fruit salad for breakfast, a veggie salad for lunch and a cooked dinner and today I had fruit salad for breakfast, a cooked dinner, and a green smoothie for dinner. Is this an ok start?
Also, I have a few questions, sorry they are probably silly.
Where do you buy the cloths to strain juices and what are they actually called?
What does a normal grocery list look like for you?
Is cucumber skin ok to eat? My parents always remove it and I was just wondering if there was a reason other than habit behind that.
Are there any vegetables that aren’t safe to eat raw?
Thanks for taking the time to help me out =)

Welcome. There is no such thing as a silly question.
The bags are generally sold as "nut milk bags" but lots buy paint strainer bags in the hardware shop.
My grocery list for me is just fruit and greens and an odd Lara Bar for emergencies. As much organic as possible.
Cucumber skin is terrific for you and loaded with silica which is great food for your skin.

I have never actually seen "nut milk bags" but I have seen a lot of cheese cloth around here. In fact, when I asked if they had nut milk bags at this kitchen ware store, they kept going "what? a what bag? ... nut.. milk..?" and all 3 of the ladies behind the counter stared at me like I had three heads. Needless to say, I won't be shopping there again! A bit rude if you ask me. I found it a bit silly that they had never heard of nut milks before. Almond milk is pretty commonly found at most grocery stores now. *shrug* But at least the cheese cloths they sold at their store had really fine holes so it worked okay for almond milk.
So if you ever run into people like that, just ask for cheese cloth. :P
