After being raw for about 1 month and falling off the wagon I am back. One week into being raw I am thinking about lentil soup. My question is weather to cook the legumes or sprout them, I am think sprouting might be better nutrition wise and I could just put them in my blender and then slightly heat the soup from the blender.

I also have some black beans I would like to try.
Thanks
Fred

this is a raw vegan forum - sprout them, don't cook them.

we don't talk about cooked foods here.

If you want to learn more about using sprouted lentils then there will be lots of info in the sprouting forum. I just sprout them and add them to salads.

Sprouted lentils are the best--they come in all sorts of colors and shapes, taste great, and sprout quickly.

I build salads around them--I mean they're the main ingredient, everything else enhances them. Also toss them in a bowl with sprouted oats and groats, some chopped nuts, berries, and nut milk for a great morning (or anytime) cereal.

Sproutpeople have a brownish lentil that turns a beautiful orange after the skin splits and the sprout emerges. It's absolutely gorgeous!
