Ok, now that that is out of me, I'll be reading the threads looking for tips..
If u have any pls post away....

Have a nice day everyone...

Welcome.
Can not help you with the water fast as I have never done it but I may be able to help with the KFC

Goede dag Shendel,

I have just today finished a 10 day water fast, and I understand your cravings completely. Even though I have been raw for quite some time, I developed strong cravings from Chinese food around day six. It was so strong that I often found myself searching for photos of Szechuan food on Google...

Thankfully I am finished my fast, and my first cup of diluted freshly squeezed orange juice has reconfirmed my love of raw foods!

I think the body and mind just fixate on something you once loved to eat, and tries to encourage you to do everything possible to seek out energy. Be strong, fasting is rough business, but you will be happy the minute it is all over.

Good luck!

Just curious, how many days are you planning to fast?

Hi Traveller,
For now I set my mind on 7 days I'm on day 3.
In the past I did a 7 day water fast and that went very well, I got scared cause I could suddenly feel my heartbeat. Prior to that I never felt it unless I was exercising.

When I reach day 7 and my body is ok with it (does it make sense?) I'll go for 10.\
So I take it by the day...

I've been using self-hypnosis pretty successfully lately to plant aversions in my mind and increase my preference for good foods.

I say things like, "meat is unappealing. I find the idea of eating dead animal carcass disgusting."

And then things like, "I crave fresh, live foods, healthy, delicious greens, vegetables and fruits."

It's crazy, but seems to help!

Hi,
Thank you for this advise...
I remember doing this when I was a teenager, and it really did work!
I will try this on the kfc craving that comes to mind so now and then...
Today is day 4 in the waterfast and I feel amazingly good!

I found myself fantasising about the nice fruit melange I'll be eating in the future.....happy dance!:excited:
