Hello, I'm fairly new to raw foods, I've been in the fitness industry for 20 yrs. and have been taught about protein first from lean meats, protein powders etc. then veggies and min. fruit. Mainly been on a diet of 50/30/20. P/CHO/F. This way of eating worked for awhile but I was always tired and had constipation, digestion problems, gas, etc.

I've been reading and researching the raw food lifestyle and been incorporating green smoothies and more fruit into my diet. I do well during the day but at night I crave cooked foods? I also have an issue w/coffee!! I drink 1-2 cups in the am and trying to cut it out. I'm happy I found this website and hope to learn as much as possible!!

I too have trouble in the evening and it seems to be a common problem that people struggle with. I read that one long-term fruitarian said that she was taught to eat fat in the evening to get that full feeling. That's the best advice I've heard about evening cravings.

Welcome! Yes, I know what you mean. I trained with weights and machines for quite some time the way you were taught. I had a lot of muscle but, it couldn't be seen under all the excess. Once I went vegetarian, I began getting compliments on my musculature AND, I felt better! Glad you made it over here!
