I want to do a 14 day fast to clean me out as well as weight loss (water weight and toxins trapped from cooked). I was wondering which way would be better: a lot of juice one day, water the next...or spread it evenly out juice each day.
Also, what could help to get me through the first few days without cravings for just chewing something?

from my experience - water is a hard task master, so I would suggest this for you:
Fasting Suggestions
During a 7-day detox juice fast, a different juice is consumed each of the seven days:
Day 1: Apple and celery juice: Intestines, liver, kidneys. Use 1/2 apple juice and 1/2 celery juice.
Day 2: Pineapple juice: Enzyme bromelain for the small intestine. Also specifically helpful for inflammation, allergies, arthritis, edema, and hemorrhoids.
Day 3: Lemon juice and water: Detoxify and cleanse the liver. Add the fresh juice of 1/2 lemon for cup of water. You may desire to add a little honey or maple syrup to this with a little cayenne we make it as a gallon and drink away all day. It is only good for one day though!
Day 4: Carrot Juice: Liver, lungs, kidneys, eyes.
Day 5: Beet Juice: Please mix the beet juice with apple. Beet juice can be very hard on the system even though it is beneficial for those things listed below. I usually do a ½ beet with 6 carrots and 2 stalks of celery and ½ of a granny smith apple. Works wonderfully for me, and removes a lot of waste. Removes toxins from the liver into the bloodstream. Also specifically helpful for arthritis and menstrual problems.
Day 6: Green Juices: 1 whole cucumber, mixed with spinach, celery and an apple. Believed to cause an exchange of toxins across membranes resulting in the systematic flushing of toxins out of the body. Also specifically helpful for circulation, skin, digestive problems, obesity, bad breath
Day 7: Distilled Water or Spring : Cleanses the entire system. Note: I seldom do water alone I will do lemon water, or lime water. Water can be hard on the system if you are active or was a heavy meat eater or in my case a heavy medicine taker before this fast.
NOTE: You can repeat these seven days for up to 4 rounds for a total of 28 days without any side effects, except some weight loss, glowing skin and who knows what blessing are available for you as you do this!

Sweet lips
How many glasses of each juice do you drink per day? If you drink too much, can that cause weight gain?

Hiya!
So Dream, how did it go?
Sweetlips' suggestion was a good one. Water fasting is too difficult for most people. If you have not fasted before, try juice fasting. But, if you really feel up to it, go ahead a leap right it with the water fast. That's how I started.
To help with cravings, well, you'll have to wait those out! Seriously, though, you cold chew ice. It lets you chew something without it breaking your fast. A good tip, and apparently one few have thought of!
Also, I hope you're not hooked on caffeine. In many people, it can cause such severe withdrawal headaches that you would rather die than experience it. Quit caffeine before ever trying a fast.

WOW! Jackie that was real sweet ofyou to lay that all out. where'd did you get your guidline?
I agree a water fast as I've read in a number of books, you have to be real careful as it is intense. Usually about day 3-5 is the heaviest in toxins and the body aches !!!! The further you go into your fast, the more you will feel when your body wants just more water.......by day 10-12, my body craved water something pure....I started juicing less and listening to what it wanted. :)

Wow, I've been looking to what seems like everywhere to find some kind of fasting plan. The longest I've lasted is about 1 day on a fast because I don't know what to drink or for what reasons I'm drinking certain things.
bottoms up ;)

All green juices are better, especially for a beginner. Yes, chlorella tablets are often used on a juice fast.
