Hi everyone:

I want to start a seven day juice fast, but I had a few questions:

1. Can I exercise during a juice fast?

2. Is it a more healing fast if the amount of green juice is greater than that of fruit juice? I also had some concerns about the sugar high with the fruit. I'm not diabetic, but I was still iffy about that.

3. Is it ok to add supplements to the juice? I like to add spirulina to my juice, but I don't know if the same rules apply in the case of a fast.

4. Can you add oils to your juice? I have flaxseed oil and coconut oil.

5. Can my fast be effective without the use of enemas?

Sorry for the many questions, I'm a newbie. :):):) Any advice is much appreciated.

Hi Everyone:

I wanted to follow up my original post.

I started my fast today but came across a couple of symptoms that worried me a bit at first. So i just want to know if others have experienced this as part of their detox process.

I first had a spinach, blackberry/blueberry juice with spirulina. I had a headache shortly after but I figured it was from the sugar rush of the berries. Later on i had a carrot/apple juice with spirulina, and diluted both juices with water. About an hour later I just felt tired and sleepy. I had a mild headache and felt slightly dizzy. I got a bit worried because this is my first fast so I didn't know if this was normal. I decided to stop the fast and eat some fruit.

Is this part of detox then? Have any of you experienced these symptoms so quickly?

I still had a few questions regarding my original post. Is it ok to exercise? Are the enemas necessary as well?

Thank you. :)

I am prepping for a juice fast and have done so in the past.

I always exercise during juice fast but cut the tempo and time.

I go heavier on veggies and greens the Fruits- seem more cleansing

I do some oils just before the fast but none during.

Don't do enemas regualrly but I bet they would be helpful if done during 3rd-4th day and again early on 7th.

I like fruit jucie with greens as a break-fast and then some solid fruit and veggies
