RAWREDBONE - How wonderful you! Didjaeverthink you would give home all those things you were raised on. BTW - there is a lot of redbones in my family, are you one of my relatives? They don't do raw though - they even throw the parsley away when it comes on a meal when they are out. Oh, well! Shout about it girl! The best is still coming from this - look and see!

Yes, I went thru the same thing you are going thru. Now I have bowel movement everyday 2-3 times a day with no pain at all. Even when I eat hot peppers I can even tell and I love them in my salads. I just love this way of life.( I don't use the word DIET because to me it a want of life pain free)

Wow that makes me feel SO incredibly hopeful!! I've suffered from this IBS now for over 4 years and it's been a complete burden on my life. It would be incredible if I could be cured of it through eating raw!! I have all of these IBS books that told me that "eating raw veggies is bad for your bowels" and that it can cause more pain, etc... I wonder why they say that if it's helping so many people who suffer from IBS?

Hi Brit - again!

All three females in this house were IBS - amongst other irritating things. At first, our bodies were not doing well with the fruits and veggies because our digestive enzymes were WAY off. WAY, I tell you. We were completely upside-down in digestion.

It took us weeks, but both daughters stopped vomitting and chronic diarrhea, and movements are so much more of a joy than the literal "pain in the butt" they usta be!

We still have symptoms here and there, so I guess we're just not finished healing, and that's alright.. what we have been able to accomplish so far is amazing and a God-send! No medications but probiotics. Some are fertive that you don't need them on a Raw diet. They might not have needed them, but we had to for serious medical reasons.

When your body becomes more alkaline rather than acidic ( IBS people are famous for that acidity ) - you'll see the changes in your digestion - as in.. you can now see that what is coming in one end isn't coming out the opposite in the same way it was swallowed. Or.. the opposite - stuck. Somehow that just sounds backwards. I mean, wouldn't you need acid for digestion? Yes, you do. In the upper G.I., tract, but not in the lower. You need an alkaline environment to grow the good bacteria which is the way foods are fully digested and moved into the realm of nutrients that our bodies absorb. We actually "eat" our nutrients from our intestines ( mostly ). They need good buggies to work properly - and an environment where they can live happy and multiply.

My young daughers ( 13 and 15 ) were so sick, they couldn't move for hours or days at a time. I'm in no way exaggerating ( I wish I were ) - it was pitifull. They're now much more active, much more settled, spend less time complaining about their bellies - have stopped vomitting and daily diarhea, and don't feel so bloated and in pain. We've just notices, too, our 15 year old has grown 2 inches in the last few months, too.

It really has been a miracle around here.
