Hi, It's been a while since I have been on here. :excited:

I have done a few water fasts and juice fasts in the past. I have severe eczema, and will be doing a 16-19 day water fast to get rid of it. I also smoke cigars. My question is after my 16-19 day fast when would be a good time to start smoking?

I couldn't agree more!

Why cleanse your body and then start smoking again?

I seriously think both of you need to question why you find this so because smoking makes a mockery of trying to eat healthily.

Maybe Mr Raw's idea of eating alfalfa to make cooked food taste bad would work with smoking too!!!

I say, knock yourselves out. I had two uncles who smoked cigars and they both died from cancer of the throat and mouth in their early sixties... I'm thinking that wasn't all that enjoyable yet, if that's a potential fate and you're up for it... your choice! Their sister who didn't smoke at all died at 94 so, can't blame genetics on that one... oh! Maybe because she was female and females tend to live longer?

Whatever makes you happy!

Never try to teach a pig to sing . . .

It wastes your time and it annoys the pig. LOL

Lol, I really do not want to waste my time trying to justify why I do something I enjoy. The question you folks would need to ask yourself is, why do you do things that YOU enjoy? It doesn't matter what you do in life there is always a chance of the risk of harm to the body. Whether it be sports, working out, driving your car. Just like there is risk with smoking, Not every person dies from cancer from smoking. Infact I know more then enough people that are in their 50's 60's even 90's that have smoked all their life and are healthy. I will quit at one point in my life as I am not addicted, its simply for pleasure.

Thank you for the reply's by the way. :hug

Overeating and binging to the point of being overweight also makes a mockery of eating healthy. I believe you mentioned in one of your posts you've had issues with one or the other in the past.

We didn't say it was healthy we said it was enjoyable and to us it is.

I have a grandmother who's older then 94 who smokes a pack and a half a day, just saying. No, smoking isn't healthy but it darn sure is enjoyable with a morning coffee every blue moon. Everyone has their vices (overeating, binging, too much sex, using other people for self gratification, being a health nut as a means of masking other insecurities or shortcomings) so unless you have none, spare us the judgement. If you don't want to smoke then don't.

Okay folks.. party is over. Closing this thread...

Bottom line... smoking is not a part of breaking a fast... so do it whenever you choose. It doesn't take digestion and that's what we look at when breaking a fast.
