Hi all,

Wanted to share my discovery. I've tended to nut pate as sunflower and other seeds didn't taste good to me....

So I'd sneak in as much sunflower as I could with the nuts (to cut costs)....
but then sunflower was all I had this weekend....

Read somewhere in google land that the flavor of sunflower seeds really enhance with sprouting - now - I'd always soaked, but this time I sprouted probably about 36 hours post soaking, in very warm humid weather......

just threw the sunflowers in the fp with a hot pepper, cumin, paprika, whirred it up and drizzled in sesame oil till it looked like a pate.....

It was incredibly delish! craving it today, but sadly it is gone.

Sprout those seeds well and good peeps! Tastes fabulous...

I will see if this tech can help with pepitos....

I never knew about sprouting sunflower seeds until I watched Rene Oswald's YouTube video on "staple stash". Now I sprout them before I dehydrate them, so I always have them (and other nuts/seeds) on hand, ready to toss into a recipe. *Ü*
