This seems to be the best way to get raw olives ... but where oh where can I get uncured olives from in the UK. I'd like black ones rather than green.

Any ideas?

If you go to Martha Stewart's site - she just had a guest on a few weeks ago that showed how to cure your own olives. I would imagine the information is on her site. *Ü*

thanks but I couldn't see anything. She doesn't broadcast over here so it is likely she wouldn't list UK suppliers in any case. I'll keep looking.

I was able to locate it. I remembered that particular segment because he showed how to grow cacao, pineapples, olives, etc. all in your home. Go here (http://www.marthastewart.com/276209/edible-tropical-plant-glossary)if you'd like and then click on 'watch the video' over on the left. The olive segment is at about the 1 minute mark. How he shows it couldn't be easier. *Ü*

no worries ... thanks for going to the effort you did.

I have sent off for some raw olives but I'm just not sure how much I believe they are raw even though they say they are!

Hey DebB, I don't know how to cure your own olives....Don't know if I'll ever do it, but I'm going to your link to find out!!! I didn't really think you misunderstood though, as you said you thought they might mention where to get them....

Thanks,

Mary Kay

Now I'm inspired to grow pineapples and olives! LOL, we're putting an addition on the house that contains a greenhouse off our bedroom. I've saved the link to that place for an olive tree!

Cool!

I have now been looking at trees. Heavens! I could get a big one for little less than the cost of a dehydrator!!! Research continues.
