I am new to this website. We just recently acquired our internet connection and I am finding very nice, helpful sites like this one that are not only educational, but informational as well. There seems to be a quite nice group of people here.

Well, I am Sarah. I am a stay-at-home-mom with 8 children so far. My children are: Abigail, 2 weeks; Benjamin, 2 yrs; Gracie, 3; Michael, 4.5; Jason, 6; Rachel, 8; Jonathan, 10; Brittany, 12. Our house is a busy one, as you can tell. Scheduling keeps order as well as keeps the peace! My wonderful soulmate, Grant, makes our house 10 people! We homeschool our children, except for our two youngest right now.

I have been eating a raw food diet for about 3 years off and on. I have not eaten meat since I was pregnant with Rachel, my 8 year old. I have had my last five children at home. Abigail was just born at home on October 2 at 4:40 pm and weighed 10 lbs, 6 oz. She has been my biggest baby so far, but labor and delivery went so well!

We don't have any digital cameras or anything right now, so I will not post a picture for a while, I am hoping that is okay. I am not on this site for weight loss or anything, just to make sure I am eating healthy and to see if I can get more ideas!

I think that about covers who I am. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

I'm impressed with anyone who can raise one child much less eight. Personally, I have a husband a dog and a cat. That's about all I can handle. Does your family also eat mostly raw? What kinds of foods do you make for yourself and your family? I'm glad you found this website. It's the friendliest raw website on the web!

We eat very simply. My children are raw until the age of 5 at least. My babies are breastfed until they wean themselves. That is a challenge, however, when you have a child every year or so! I think I have been breastfeeding for 12 years now! :)

Anyway, my older children do not eat meat or dairy. They do eat beans, grains, nuts, etc., as well as a lot of fruits and veggies. Since my children are not given junk foods they are very appreciative of their veggies AND fruits. My husband eats a balance of raw and cooked, but again, sticks with grains, beans, etc.

Hopefully this answers your question.

Wow, eight children! What a houseful! There is part of me that would LOVE to have eight children, but then another part of me that questions the sanity of that thought when I am homeschooling ONE child! You are truly blessed though!

Welcome to the site.
