Hi, sorry if this is posted somewhere else, I looked and didn't see anything.
I am wondering how long I can keep say soaked almonds? and what should they be stored in? I usually store them in glass jars but I'm not sure how long they keep?

Hi ~ After I soak nuts & seeds, unless I'm using them immediately in a recipe that calls for them 'wet' - I go ahead and (depending which nut/seed) sprout and then dehydrate. I then store the soaked, sprouted & dehydrated nuts & seeds in glass jars in my freezer because I have room in there, but in the fridge would be fine too. *Ü*

Hi ~ Yes, you can absolutely dehydrate them. It makes it SO easy to have a "staple stash (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSCv-39TWvE)" (that's a link to Rene Oswald's YouTube video - taught me so much!).

To answer your question - there is no set time to dehydrate. You have to keep an eye on them and just taste them. They'll be done when they're fully dry. Nuts are all different sizes, freshness, etc. - so there's no rule on the length of time.

I hope you find her video as informative as I did. I didn't know about sprouting sunflower seeds before dehydrating - beautiful! *Ü*

You're very welcom OrchidRaven ~ It's really nice having the staple stash. Sure makes it easy to make a recipe whenever you'd like to. *Ü*
