Just wondering what everyone enjoys at the start of their day?

I only eat fruit until lunchtime...maybe 2-3 plums and 2 pears or apples. I sometimes make a smoothie. I suppose it's quite cleansing to eat only fruit until lunch?

I work out first thing in the morning, so I've found that only fruit isn't enough for me. I make a smoothie with nut milk, pumpkin and sunflower seeds (both soaked), ground flax, and frozen fruit. It's about 24 oz. and usually gets me until lunch time.

For the past week or so my body has been asking me for my dehydrated nut cookies in the morning so I have a new batch in the dehydrator today. It is soaked almonds and wallnuts with just some crushed flax seed as a binder. I added some raisens and sultanas to todays batch but dont know how they will turn out.
Prior to that I was starting the day with a green smoothie and loving it. Now I just cant face a green smoothie first thing and dont even want it anytime. Dont know why. I have got very little greens for the past week but feel that I must listen to my body.

I recently began having just fruit until noon and it 's very satisfying. Because fruit digests so quickly, I can graze on it all morning and not get hungry. Also, I feel much lighter eating this way.

Once in a while though I have some oats soaked in almond milk with cinnamon and honey, green juice or some kind of smoothie.

I usually have a green smoothie (2 bananas, 2 pears, mixed greens and water) in the morning. Sometimes I have just fruits like this morning I had 2 bananas, then some carrots a little later and then some grapes.

I have a green smoothie, then later I've been enjoying "apple pie". Grated apples, some ground flax seeds, & some soaked dates & water. Sometimes I'll add chopped walnuts, sometimes rolled oats (let soak in). Delicious!

I'm thinking I might be addicted to my breakfast, it's so good I crave it all day long!

half an apple grated
blueberries, not much
2-3 strawberries cut up
currants
almonds
cinnamon
maple syrup, grade B of course

It's so flippin' good!

We drink fresh herb tea that Dragggon picks in the meadow next to our home each morning,

and we eat whatever fruit is on our trees

so, today, we had
camomile tea, with fresh mint
apple pears
strawberries (yep they are still growing)
grapes
hazelnuts
almonds
apples

We like our fruits all cut into beautiful shapes, and very thin, so we make a huge platter, and munch on it all morning.

When Dragggon picks the nuts, he shells them and places them in and around the platter.

Pretty soon, there won't be anything fresh except the mint, and the apples, then we will have to start going to the store to get fresh fruits, or we will be eating our dehydrated fruits and frozen fruits.

We aren't much into smoothies, but we do occasionally drink juices.

When I first began my first 30 Day, I tried eating soley fruit smoothies in the morning. I would have a glycemic reaction in about 90 minutes - so tough, that I would have to eat something almost immediately. I learned to stabilize this with protein fats, that helped a great deal.

So, because my body ( which has/soon to be HAD glycemic issues ) was not liking smootied fruit or mono fruit mornings - I had to add in the nuts, and then I added in the greens. The greens REALLY stabilized my blood sugar and kept me feeling stronger for much longer.

I think a morning breakfast of raw nola with nut milk or flaked grains with nut milk slightly warmed sounds wonderful. Thanks for the ideas!

I work out first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If I get busy and will be up awhile before I train I will have 1/2 apple, or peach ...maybe some spirulina before the work out. I then have a Green Drink (some days I add Hemp Protein to my drink) and try to go till afternoon before I eat...which will fruit, then some after awhile veggies and then another drink. I find if I have a green drink I am less hungry all day & more energy !!

When I was eating Omelets or Oats and Protein after my work out I was hungry with in a short time.

Also I have been hypoglycemic since 1994. I always blamed fruit and starches. So now that I droopped protein down and added the raw fruits and veggies I stopped having reactive hypoglycemia. After my 2 week detox...it was gone !!!!!!!!!!!! Wahoo !!!! I am eating fruit ! wow never could do that till I went Raw !!!! :D

I really like Apple Cereal, which can be found in the recipe section at Sad to Raw - very tasty!

Now that we are finally getting cooler weather [and a lot of rain ... yuck!], I've been considering warming the recipe slightly so that I can have 'hot' cereal for breakfast. Mmmm ... I think my kids would like that, too.

I too suffer from hypoglycemia and before raw I thought that apples and fruits were "bad" for glycemic reactions..however their GI and GL numbers are very low.....they are great for us!
