Anyone movin in May? I'm still searching for the sixpack!

I wanted to post so I started the thread...

Wow its been a rough week here in the south. Our county was devastated and many are still without power. Last week we had no power so our entertainment/exercise was clearing a tree from the power line in the neighbors yard. Luckily with our hard work they were able to get our service running the next morning. Keep the south in your prayers. Thanks!

On the weekend we went to Helen, Ga for a planned get away. We hiked down to Duke Creek Falls on Saturday and to Anna Ruby Falls on Sunday. What a lovely time. Boy my legs were sore!

Monday I took a good walk in the sunshine to soak up some VitaD. Today was Upper Body and Abs with Barry. We had more rain today and COOL weather so I retreated indoors.

:woohoo:Let get this party started!:woohoo:

hey Dawn! I'm glad you started it! I will keep the south in my prayers, so much crazy weather around the nation, but I guess that's mother nature. Moving a tree is hard work, you're muscles will be thanking you.:)

As for me, I was on my stationary bike for an hour, and then I went for an hour walk. It's cold in Chicago (felt like 35 degrees tonight). Can't complain though, at least it's not snowin'. haha.

I might do some yoga/light stretching before bed.

Looking forward to see what kinds of movement everyone is planning for May.

May is about me run/walking a variation of 2, 3 or 4 miles a week, every other day. And me doing dancing and strenght training on my run off days.

Trying to do another 5K in 2 months. I just want to be able to run one mile straight and walk the rest for my next 5k.

Good luck with your training. I've always wanted to try a 5k. I ultimately would love to participate in a marathon one day.

Today I will be walking 1 hour, and perhaps my bike for 30 minutes before I'm off to work.

I want to get those rollerblades out on the next sunny warm day.

Looks like rain today. Better get out there for my walk before it starts to drizzle. I will definitely have time for a longer bike ride today. 3 day weekend off of work! Yippie!

Doing a 5k gives you something to look forward to as making exercising a life goal, because when you do a 5K and you see people do better than you, you will get a little piss off due to you realizing that you would have done better if only you did not do any exercise on days that you should have by being lazy. So when you sign up for your next 5K, you don't want to be one of those people who almost finish last, so you will stay on your game to really make yourself keep your fitness schedule.

Wow Seductive I like your observations and perseverance. Keep up the good work. I would like to do a 5k but I would need to break this body in to running.

Blackkat you are keeping the road hot! Great for you and I am loving this warm weather too.

I walked yesterday even though it was pretty hot but sweating is good. Today was Barry's Bootcamp Upper Body and advanced abs. I got my workout on Saturday with housework, cleaning the pool cover AGAIN, and finally giving my car a bath and blowing the driveway. Its good to get moving again.

Well it looks like we are the only ones moving around here. I think I will go over and ask the FASTERS if they are moving. Or maybe the 30 Day Raw Challenge candidates. Anybody else moving the body??? HaHa. Ya'll have a great one!

Oh by the way I have been invited to teach a raw food class on Sunday. My first one!! I am so excited.

I haven't tried them and probably won't. I just get my toning by pure effort.

Hey Jamille glad you joined us. Sounds like your life is full time movement. Kudo on the biking to work. Whats is a bikram 30 day challenge?

I moved compost yesterday and placed it around my shrubs. That was a good workout! Hot day and lots of sweat...loved it!

Today was Yoga Booty Ballet Hip Hop and Abs. I needed to change it up and dance a little.

Speaking of dancing...I just happened to see a video of The Liferegenerator-Dan the Man doing a Dance Party video with his daughters. They were just dancing around and having fun. I will see the granddaughters tomorrow. I think I will instigate a Dance Party of my own! Fun!

Good night ya'll.

I was just curious about the shaping shoes cause people rant and rave about them. Commercials all over the place! They seem pretty expensive, too. Was just curious if anyone liked them.

Anyways, today I haven't had much time.. just got a 30 minute bike session in. That's all for today. I work late, so I will be on my feet all afternoon and night.

Good day to everyone! and welcome Jamille!

Day 3 on the Master Cleanser for me, so I've been doing very light exercise for the last couple days. I worked ridiculously early this morning so no walk for me. I was too tired after work.

Tomorrow I will go for a long walk in the afternoon (let's hope its a sunny day)

I am going to do some light toning, and some yoga tonight before bed.

Hope everyone's bein active!:excited:

Hi Blackkat...I just thought of something with the shoes...do they have rocker bottoms? If so then them may over stretch the achilles. My chiro said that my earth shoes would do that also. Just a thought.

Monday-Turned both compost piles. Tidied up my composting operation. Great workout!

Wednesday-Took a 30 minute walk around the block. It was chili here in TN but enjoyable.

walked for 2 hours today, and also cleaned/vacuumed out my car. Pretty tough work considering it was in the 80's. I was able to break a good sweat.
