View Full Version : Type of fast/cleanse to get back on track

I have been getting into bad habits recently of over indulging, eating more than I should, thinking about food a lot and snacking when I'm not hungry. Mostly raw, but I don't like how it's making me feel, a bit uneasy like I'm going back to my old self. I have indulged in a few SAD bits of food - not a lot at all just a mouthful of things. But I don't like it!! I need to get back into the mindset that i eat to fuel my body. I've been considering the master cleanse, but the pooping scares me a bit. I have a 30 min bus journey to work and I worry I may have an accident!! Do you think a week of juices/smoothies may help me get back on track? Would the master cleanse sort me out, or just poop me out?
Has anyone else felt like this before? What did you do to get back on track? I'm craving sweet things, chocolates and desserts. Shall I just make them raw and get over it? Have my cake and eat it!!
Also sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum!

I guess the answer is... what do you want to do? Sounds like you don't know and only you can really make this choice for yourself. Some people will say eat 100% raw... others will suggest a M/C - while others will say juice or water fast.
So... what do YOU want?

Good point Aleesha. If you do something that you really don't want to do....you will not get the desired results. Listen to your instincts.

At the moment I just want to scoff everything in sight though!! Part of me thinks I should just let my body do that and another part of me worries that I'm slipping back into old habits. I think I will juice a lot next week, and keep things simple. I would like to fast but mentally I don't think I'm ready.

It is part of your journey and will continue to be. It doesn't all of a sudden become nothing at some point... your journey will always be flowing...
When my body wants to eat... I feed it. I am very mindful as to what I feed it. You can fast from everything SAD. That is a fast.
You can also fast from everything solid... that's an option.
You can fast from all pulp...
That's what I love about fasting... it can be whatever you need it to be.
