Hello,
I'm from the Northwest and purchased "Living with Live Foods" by Allissa about a year and a half ago. Since that time, I started juicing regularly and felt much better, but continued to eat cooked foods (never fast foods). On a whim, I decided to go 100% raw. So, since March 20, 2011 until my birthday this month which is a week plus off, I have been 100% raw. Going 100% raw (granted I am single) has been extremely easy. I haven't experienced temptations to stop eating raw to date. My motivation to go 100% raw was to see if my arthritis pain, which is mostly in my hands and was getting more and more painful, would be impacted in a positive way by eating just raw. I am thrilled to say that my hands are nearly pain free. It is joyful to not wake up in the night with intense pain in my hands and wrists. I am so happy. I sleep SO good! I'm not overweight, but have lost 4-5 lbs, but I eat A LOT! My motivation to continue is to stay pain-free. It is an immense relief. I am in my 50's! Yay!

Congratulations! It's so fantastic that your pain is going away.. I can only imagine what a relief that must be to you. I understand what you mean about not being tempted to go back to cooked food. My husband and I have been doing this since about the first of April, and we also are not the least bit tempted. It feels like such a good and clean way to live! I hope you continue feeling well!

Awe, I am so happy for you! Tears in my eyes...that is just the thing about 100% raw. I did the raw challenge for the first time last month. I did some healing with adenomyosis (endometriosis in the uterus). I have no more quirky pain in my lower abdomin and also my hands and wrists are better (quirky very mild arthritis pain, very mild). Raw is just so amazing!

So...welcome to RFT and I wish you the best on your raw journey!

Warning...watch out for that non-raw birthday cake. Its a doooozy!
