Hi, there!
My name is Lori and I'm in Cleveland. I have tried many different ways of eating, but nothing makes me feel better that when I eat raw. The most dedicated I've been is about 90/10.
I don't remember how I stumbled upon a recommendation for Alissa's book, but I bought it and happily read through the first 140pgs the day it came in the mail. It was so inspiring! I'd been feeling so crummy for such a long time and it was hard to see past the exhaustion and mood swings to imagine that I had gone so far from what works for my mind and body. I had forgotten how fantastic I felt while eating raw, and Alissa's words reminded me right away!
Sure, I'd like to lose a little bit of weight (about 15-20lbs.), but mostly I want to reclaim the energy and the clear mind that a raw diet gives me. I want to be able to pop out of bed at 5:30a and meet the day head-on again, instead of rolling out at 7:04a and needing a cup of coffee to get through the morning routine with 4 kids and a husband who can't remember where he left his shoes.
So, I'm on Day 2 (my book arrived late afternoon 3 days ago  ) of my challenge.
So nice to be here - I've never done raw with a community before! :) Exciting!
