i feel it to share... i'm not providing weblinks to back up some info... it's a simple search to do for yourself. i'm lacking the time to do this while roaming the site, FB and emails... i live off-grid and am in a hotel tonight visiting my home town.
and i think i may of posted this before years ago... with links too. i'm not sure. but new people to read. only accept it if it feels true to you.

in all my minimal research i've done.... my mom recently died of colon cancer and her mom had it.... i'm likely to get it. so i research!

one of the main reasons the asians have a very low percentage of colon cancer in their race is because they squat when they poop. imagine your colon pipes as a garden hose... using american style toliets cuts off the water in hose straining our systems. when we squat... it allows a smooth flow to come out and also comes out much quicker. it doesn't strain the colon etc and therefore prevents injury and getting ill from strains etc.

the asians take many herbs..... don't count on the huge amounts of rice for it's very bad to digestive system. and soy... i firmly believe it's posion to humans. it's the squating!!!!!!!
i've been lucky to have the past two apt where it's easy to do this... i have royal design toliets. after so long squating... when i use a regular toielt... i can't sit... i have to stand(ish). i can easily feel the strain in my inside to sit while having a bowel movement.
colon cancer is one of the largest causes of death in america. and it can be prevented. it doesn't ooccur most of all through unhealthy eating... it's the lack of squating. and no doubt eating unhealthy foods boosts cancer. and i'm sure all of us that have been raw long enough... at least 100% as i have been before... bowel movements are differenet.... but a friendly reminder or to share new info of what is natural and our meant of way.... squat!

Squatting is known to be good for pooping AND for birthing.

If you want to do some research, check out Dr. Randolph Stone and his natural movements for use as part of Polarity Therapy.

I agree with the squatting. I've been thinking of getting one of those foot stands that helps you to be in the squatting position when using a regular toilet.

I'm down with squatting but have to try to assume the squatting position as best I can on our Standard American toilets......hmmmmmm SAT, a new acronym to go along with SAD?

i suggest don't do it... attempt to squat on american style toliets. it's dangerous.
if you have a way to propt up your legs.... try it, and you'll notice a differance. it's like meeting half way.
i currently live in a castle and has the box unit for a toliet... i can easily do the squat. my down stairs bathroom is american style and am thinking of ways to build something so it's equipt too if ever needed. i haven't heard of a device sold to make this all easier. would appreciate a link of items sold if one has it.
also... perhaps others have noticed this too... well, i am a woman, so men wouldn't understand. but it feels like a natural flow to pee in shower ect standing up. much better release feeling. i haven't heard of difficulties steamed from women sitting down on toliet with health issues yet. in public places i won't sit on a toliet.. i sort of squat and notice it comes out easier.

just seriously straight up... it isn't a delightful conversation to have... but it's our natural bodily function. we all do it. i just find it worthy to share... help make us healthier in any way possable for those that seek in various ways. cancer is serious. i've seen others go through it. it's no picnic.

i leave this an open thread... i always love it how a thread can open other spans of info. i've never given childbirth before.. never got pregnant. but since i am a info/holistic freak... i'm truely interested in hearing experiences with the squat and child birth if it's much easier for women than lying on a bed. i've heard of some women having childbirth in pools before. the baby knows to hold it's breathe and doesn't drown.

if anyones pregnat or in future... i've been informed that it is super important to leave the ambilical cord (sp) on/attached until it stops pulsing.... make take 5-20 mins. in hospitals they cut it off immediately. now since i am an info freak... i have a mishap of short term memory. i forget the main reasons why this is important. i think i know some answers but am not def so won't share.

:LOL:I can just see myself falling in. Not to worry, I don't squat on top. I'll pull at least one leg up and lean forward so my thigh is near my chest.....stuff almost falls out on a good day. On a bad day, may use something to rest my feet on.:tmi:

This is also relevant for hernias - when one goes to the WC, it can involve rather a lot of contraction of the abdominal muscles - if one squats, the knees support the musculature at the front of the abdomen. No kidding.

Bernard Jensen used to talk about this, and I vaguely recall V.E. Irons may have done so, too.

If you go to less-industrialised parts of France, you'll find they squat - there is not a conventional WC as one would find in the USA or in the UK - all you have is a square porcelain object, set into the floor, about 25 inches by 25, which one stands upon whilst squatting, with a small 'pit' / 'hole' which one expels into, and then 'flushes' afterwards. Quite a shock if you're not expecting to see such a thing in the South of France, I can assure you! :
