I have family coming over Saturday for a birthday and belated birthday get-together. Lots of the foods we're going to have are going to be raw (big fruit salad, green salad, dehydrated sweet potato chips), but I wanted to do a special recipe. I've made the date nut torte before, but since a friend of mine borrowed the book, I can't access the recipe. Can anyone PM it to me?

Also, the last time I made it I just put it inside a metal cake pan to serve because that's all I had. What's a good way to get it onto a plate and make it look pretty without causing too great of a mess? :p

Thank you. :)

FYI...The recipe for date nut torte is posted on Alissa's website under recipes.
There's also another version here.

How did you get it to glow like that?

That's THE divine glow of raw foods! :D

No...I'm sure it's the camera/lighting.

Rawkinlocs is correct. It is the divine glow of raw foods. The raw food God was pleased with my creation. I was in aww in his presense.

Then he asked for a ride to Super Wal-Mart and I was like "huh?, you are supposed to be the raw food God, what is up with that?"

Sharon in Colorado, the date nut torte is very rich. I only ate 1/4 of it and gave the rest to my friends. It was good though, just very rich tasting.
