Hi,
I just want to say that I tried doing a search, but the function didn't read my entry properly. : (
I have been soaking buckwheat and flax seed lately.
After soaking it in bottled water for the appropriate amount of time and draining it, and placing them back in the fridge, I have noticed that the seeds and buckwheat both get this slime-like residue on them.
It appears to be a coating of oil or something. I have not gotten sick, but it's hard to feed non-rawfoodies something like this when the food looks "slimey."--Eww.
Do some foods release oil more than others?
How can deal with the oil the accumulates on the foods so I can serve them to others?
I can't always rinse, drain, and serve people these foods immediately. They need time to absorb the spices and seasonings in the fridge for a few hours--but that's when they get slimey. : (
