Right now I am on an all organic, raw, seasonal vegan "live food box" meal plan from a local raw vegan health restaurant and store. Some of the food is raw gourmet, but I would say there is minimal dehydration, sea salt, oil, and high sugar fruit. I wonder if my meals are as healthy for me as I want to believe. I don't always know exactly what is in everything that I am eating, but I do know that most of the lunch, dessert and dinner foods contain a lot of nuts and seeds. I fear that I am eating too much fat and protein. What do you all eat? Does this typical meal plan look healthy to you?:

Breakfast- Apple or orange with 1tbsp flax seed/hemp seed/cacao nibs or veggie flax crackers

Lunch- kelp noodles/dehydrated veggies with some sort of cashew-almond-yeast sauce or big leafy greens salad or nut and seed meal imitation meat with a side salad (collard green, kale, chard).

Dinner- Similar to lunch. Often times a "burrito" or big "spring roll" with tons of nuts, seed cheese, veggies and rice wrap or cabbage leaf wrap. Sometimes "rice" made from ground broccoli and cauliflower florets and herbs and spices.

Dessert- (4x's per wk.) small nut, seed, cacao/carob/cinnamon/ vanilla bean, coconut brownies/cheesecakes/truffles

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Is this too much food to be eating? For the record, I am 5'0 and was 80lbs (prior to raw). I have gained 2lbs in the 2 weeks I have been on this raw meal plan. I feel like I could really use some guidance. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

It sounds pretty balanced and quite typical of raw gourmet diet. But you are gonna get very different responses to your question because raw people are still so divided on the fat/raw sugar topic. I understand that we do not need more than 1-2 ounces of fat a day so your typical day would be very uncomfortable for me. It's an individualist thing. If you continually gain weight (and you don't want too)I think you have answered your own question.

Seems ok, except it's a little low on fruits?
Whether it's too much, you will know best. If it's hard to eat it all and you are often full and bloated then it might be too much.

Have you thought about adding a Green Smoothie? I have one for breakfast each day. It's a great way to get your greens in and they are delicious.

My current favorite is: a ton of spinach, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1 banana, 1 apple, 1/2 lemon, water.

Other than that, your plan is similar to mine except that I'm so full after my green smoothie that I save fruit eating for my morning or mid-afternoon snack.

Thanks for the replies.

I forgot to mention that I also get 2 servings of green soup and 1 green smoothie every 4 days. As for fruit, you are right, there is not much, although, one of my entrees usually comes with a side fruit salad as well and the "cheesecake" desserts have fruit mixed in.

It sounds as if this menu was designed for a sad eater new to raw and needing to get the same tastes and feels of their old foods.
If you are new to raw then it may suit you, As you get cleaner you will want less of that and more of the fruit. I assume that they will be able to grow with you and give you what you want.
If you are happy with what you are eating and it keeps you raw then go with the flow for now but as soon as you want to progress then be sure to request it.
