Any suggestions for foods that are raw that calm a cranky stomach? I hate to resort to crackers and soda to calm my stomach. After the liver cleanse my stomach is cranky and has been for the last three days.

I would mono eat only.

slippery elm tea
aloe vera juice
chamomile tea
it really depends on the cause....most important would be to discover and eliminate possible causes and mono eating as mentioned above might help you do that. If not mono eat, you can tailor back you diet to small portions of foods known not to upset you. Sort of a Half Fast.
sometimes adding more acid helps me. I'll take a small glass of water with couple T. apple cider vinegar mixed in (w/some honey maybe or stevia), or a glass of lemon water warmed up.
I hope your tummy fells better by now. I've had a cranky stomach for weeks after an IBS flare. I found a product on clearance and tried it out. It has helped a great deal. It's Intestinew by Renew Life. That's the line of supplements and digestive aids that Brenda Watson is associated with. If you haven't watched any or her programs on PBS, I suggest you do. She is all about restoring health and proper function to the gut. Very key in getting me turned around. This supplement powder has eased the discomfort in my gut by a large digree. I'm on my third or fourth day of it.
I am also on my second day of drinking home made Kefir Water. My goodness, is this stuff nice. It too is helping my stomach and bowels immensely.

make almond milk
add carob powder
bananas
dry dates
though i many times cheat on raw with pure maple syrup instead of dates because it tastes so good to me ands whole vegan plus simply processed
oranges / bananas / almonds is a easy on stomach meal for me

Street surfer, thanks for the reminder - I used to take a litre bottle of water, take a little out, and add the apple cider vinegar and honey and drink it thru the day. Oh, what memories of those days. It is delicious and healthy.
Now I have the taste for it and gonna make a glass right now. :throwhearts:

This would kind of depend on what "cranky" means, and would also depend on your body. Personally I've always found fat to be "lubricating" and "soothing" to the digestive tract and nerves and it tends to slow everything down. In that case you may want to try some seed cheese as it's a good source of healthy raw fats. On top of that because it's fermented with ACTIVE (make sure of this) probiotic cultures, it's even more soothing to the GI tract. I just posted a few recipes on another thread.

To check to see if a probiotic is active or not see here for a test:

Another thing that may help is simply liquids. Could try going on some nut milks and smoothies and such for a few days, see if that helps.
