I was missing my breakfast cereal--so I tried sprouting the oats-buckwheat groats mix from sprout people.

It's really yummy!

I sprouted the oats/buckwheat for a couple of days, and tossed the sprouts in a bowl with a few cranberries, some chopped walnuts, and almond milk.

Not crispy--but it has a nice chew and great taste.:throwhearts:

My husband loves buckwheaties. We soak the buckwheat (hulls off) overnight, rinsing very well several times during the soak as they get quite slimy - then we sprout for 1-2 days until you can see tails. Then dehydrate until crispy. We store in glass jars with tight lids and he has them with Brazil nut milk. *Ü*

Do you dehydrate them so that they get crispy or crunchy? I don't have dehydrator yet. Am pondering.

My oat/buckwheat mixture was soft but still chewy. More like a hot cereal than a cold one.

I've taken up an entire counter in the kitchen with soaking and sprouting things, and things to be soaked and sprouted soon. Just wait til I get going growing greens!
