Hello everyone :)

I just found out from my doctor that the biopsy I had last week revealed a precancerous lesion on my cervix. She assured me that I am going to be fine. We caught it early enough to prevent the worst. I am however looking at a total hysterectomy. I have to see an oncologist to follow through.

I'm keeping a positive attitude, although it seems as life sure does like to toss in some challenges every so often. What I'm asking is if anyone has any advice as to what sort of foods, approaches I should take that would help me in the healing process, as well as to keep me from ever being diagnosed with cancer.

Thanks and blessings :)

A "pre" cancerous lesion requires a hysterectomy??? I'd get a second and third opinion if it was me. Not sure how they can justify taking out your uterus to prevent cancer. That's like doing a mastectomy to prevent breast cancer. JMO. Good luck with your path. Ask lots of questions.

Hello, I appreciate your concern, and thank you so much for your thoughts...but this is my second opinion and I am actually very happy that I did seek out this second opinion. My previous doctor kept trumping my issues up to hormones and told me to just live with it. I think that if I remained with him I would be looking at full blown cancer somewhere down the line. I am actually fine with having the surgery, thankful that it will save my life. I am over 40, have three wonderful kids and a full life. :) I would rather lose my reproductive organs than lose my life. :)

Any thoughts on what food combinations I can use to speed up my recovery so I can return to school and work asap?

Glad to hear you are well informed. I would think that the higher % raw you were the better for healing and prevention. That's the extent of my limited knowledge about what specific foods would be best. Hopefully someone else will comment. Good luck again.

Hi Amarynth ~ I wish I had some advice as far as healing foods & combinations for you - I do have some rambling thoughts though. I do wonder if things like wheatgrass juice, sprouts and sunflower greens would be very beneficial. They serve these living foods at places like Hippocrates & Gerson to help those heal from cancer, so it would stand to reason (for me anyway) that they'd be good to prevent it? I juice sprouts daily into my green juice and many times a week I make this blended salad (http://www.youtube.com/user/thedurianking#p/search/1/5oaJS_Ac-Ko)(I always add fresh cilantro and cumin, so good!) and I add a lot of sunflower greens that I grow. I also juice wheatgrass daily - I guess I'm partial to these!

I wanted to wish you all the best with your upcoming surgery. Please keep us posted, big hugs to you! *Ü*

I cant talk for you but the surgery sounds to be a "just in case" scenario to me...I would go onto the healing raw foods for say 6 - 12 months then have another assessment before doing such a drastic surgery.

i believe in raw dark green juice fasts , or alot of the juices , in order to alkalize and oxygenate blood as the alkalized / oxygenated blood dissolves / flushes out the sickly cells . many grow wheat grass , very easy , for this purpose but other dark greens are good too

and ive seen many doctors claim to eliminate cancerous cells with high doses of vitamin c . so lemons hold vita c plus are alkalizing / cleansing thusly ide juice alot of raw lemons

heres a link to great article on topic with ton o info / links
