I have a close friend of mine that is just about 30 weeks pregnant with baby #2. With her 1st son, he was born 6 weeks premature due to pre-eclampsia (which they say they dont know the cause but some say its nutrition related). She has been expressing alot of nervousness and concern as time is getting closer, I am wondering if its too late for her to start a raw diet? I bet it would help keep any massively high blood pressure like she had with the 1st. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks! :heart

I am not a doctor but the more she includes fresh raw food (no honey or sprout because it could be armful to the baby), the better it would be for this child and it will help her with the birth too.

Maybe for her to keep her diet as pure as possible even cook and add alot of fresh fruits/vegetables (raw and ORGANIC). As long she has no problem with fruits etc... She cans make smoothies as a breakfast etc...

You can try to consult with dr. Cousins, he helps woman and pregnancy.

All the best!

p.s I would do a transition to raw food if she wants to do raw. Such include steam vegetable, brown rice (Moderation) and steamed beans and as much as possible of raw food.

Hello

It is never too late to try to be more healthy. I switched to raw food when I was 34 weeks pregnant with my last baby. I think that it helped tremendously with my labor and the delivery. I also did not have to worry about swollen feet anymore or retaining as much water. It was just wonderful and made a huge difference. If she is willing to try raw it can only have positive results, no matter how close she is to delivery. :)
