Hi everyone. Man, I miss the sunshine.
Lately, it's been so gray that all I've been wanting to eat are green smoothies. Actually, I've been having a smoothie for breakfast, about four oranges for lunch, and another green smoothie for dinner.
My morning smoothie is just two bananas, spinach, and blueberries and for my dinner smoothie I add some stuff like coconut oil, fresh juices from the jack lelanne (celery, apple, cucumber). I've been doing this for about 4 days straight and feel pretty good. For whatever reason, I'm not in the mood to eat anything else, and a straight up juice feast just leaves me missing my 'nanas and spinach. Do you think this is okay? I've read that you could do damage to your body if you do prolonged fast or if you don't eat the appropriate amounts. Thanks for your input!

Yeah, if you were fasting ~ i.e. water ~ then yes you can hurt yourself yet, you are eating better than what? 95% of the people on the planet? I don't see where your concern is. Is this what you're going to eat for the rest of your life? what is "prolonged"? Certainly not 4 days, right? People have gone 40+ on just water.

Only suggestion I would give ~ change up your greens.

Human body is extremely resilient and self correcting, so almost nothing can cause damage in the short term.

But if all you are getting is smoothies, I'd make sure you also munch on a celery stick/carrot just so you exercise your teeth and jaw (it also produces saliva which aids digestion).

My advice: chew your green smoothies! Yes, I just said chew a smoothie, it produces saliva(like Dirkg mentioned) which is needed in digestion. Ive been chewing my smoothies lately and it has kept me fuller longer and more satisfied.

I've heard that too. But if its tasty, I want to gulp it down, and if its not, I want to gulp it down even faster!

You have a choice as to whether to gulp or chew. Although, I agree with you on chewing something hard. Not so much for the "exercise" but jaw is made of bone. Bone strengthens due to pressure.
