I've been reading on the forum for a few weeks but decided to have my granddaughter help me figure this thing out. So she signed me up so I could start joining in conversations. I hope I'm putting this in the right place.
I've been so upset to have friends passing from this disease and that disease, that I decided to look into alternative health. One thing led to another and I found out about raw food, which I was just so excited about. Green smoothies have become a regular part of my routine and I'm feeling younger every day. I'm hoping to learn more here to incorporate more raw into my diet.

I'm pretty new here too so wanted to just take a second to welcome you to this board. As you already know, it's a great source of information to learn about raw foods.
Better late than never!! We're so glad to have you here ~ super cool that your granddaughter is helping out! Is she into raw foods yet? Or at least drinking green smoothies with you??

Thank you very much for the warm welcome. My granddaughter is the best, although I'm biased. I'm trying to get her to try green smoothies but she doesn't seem too keen on it. Have any tips for convincing other people to try it? :)
Does she help you make them? And are your smoothies super smoothie from something like a Vitamix, or are they a bit grainy? Has she already tried at all?
So many questions! lol!

You could try adding sweet things like bananas or maybe dates to them? Usually sweetness makes pretty much anything more palatable. :-)

Welcome Ethel. Ethel was my maternal grandmothers name and she was such a sweetypie!
Putting fresh or frozen blueberries in a green smoothie gives it a purple tinge and may help sell it to the kids.
