Hey Rawbies!!!!!

This week we are planning another PARTY here at RFT!!!! The theme for this week is: STRAWBERRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! :throwhearts: (just imagine she's throwing strawberries..... :))

The possibilities are endless!!!!!!!! There is Alissa's Strawberry Pie, Strawberry Toaster Tarts (which I've actually never done before!!!), Soup, Juice, Rollups, Icecream (from RFFE).....so much to choose from!!!!!!

So, here's a quote from our Lovely Aleesha about how it will work:

"We are planning on having one of these parties a week. Renee is going to choose the ingredient (like [edit note: last week was Cucumbers]) and she'll choose a recipe for us to make. We can make the one she suggests (cause we looooove her suggestions) or you can make something else.

Then we'll share our creations.

Since someone asked about it being on a weekend. Our next party will be on Sunday April 3rd... and the lovely Renee will start a thread later today letting us know what the ingredient will be so we can all start planning!"

So who's in!!!!! This will be our fourth party, so if you were unable to make the Cucumber, Tomato, or Mushroom parties, don't dispare!!!!! Come on over to the Strawberry party SUNDAY, APRIL 10, 2011!!!! It'll be a blast!!!!!!

Well, I guess this party was a dud!!!! I was in the middle of making Alissa's Strawberry Toaster Tarts, but my electricity has been out all day and my Tarts are ruined!!!!!!! My street and surrounding areas are in darkness. Hopefully they will fix the electricity grid before long! I have a feeling all my frozen fruit will turn to mush!!!!!!

Wow, I always feared havin a party and no one coming to it.
I'm surprised. Usually there is a following. They must all live on your street, Renee. With summer coming and the hot weather, I'm sure there will be many brown outs.

I don't have pictures. Camera stays in car for business.

I made strawberry flax pancakes. And I started the day (after quart of water, of course) with fresh juiced oranges, grapefruit and strawberries. Boy, was that refreshingly good. If I had added crushed ice, it would have tasted like a frozen like a frozen dakuri without the alcohol. (don't remember how to spell it)

You'll have to use your imagination for what it all looked like. The juice was pretty with strawberry color. I added a bit too much sweetner to the pancakes, but still delicious. I just love those little tics.

Hope you got some dry ice or filled a cooler with ice so your frozens stayed good. Atleast we don't have to worry about meat in the freezer going bad.
LOL ! I keep a jug of frozen water in mine since I no longer fill it except for frozen fruit.

Chocolate pudding with Strawberries! (sorry no pictures)

In the FP
2 bananas
2 t cacao powder
1 T coconut oil
small splash of vanilla

served with a lot of Strawberries!!

Enough for 2 or plenty for one!
The possibilities are endless for this one...

I made a strawberry pudding/jello. And it was amazing!

I got a little creative, and its very simple:
1 cup strawberries (I used organic frozen as fresh werent available)
1-2 tablespoons chia seed
bit of water if needed

-Blend strawberries and a little water
-Add chia seed and stir occasionally until gel forms
-Chill and serve

Well, my electricity came on about 3:00 this morning! It feels good to be back to normal today!!! I'm gonna have to remake the Tarts for next week....I'll add Choc to the top!!!! All of your Strawberry Creations sound fabulous!!!!! I love the photo, too!!!!! Sometimes simple is the key!!!!!

Yea, I think a Chocolate party sounds gr8 for next week!!!!
