Hi everyone :excited:
I found this forum a few weeks ago while I was browsing the net in order to stay focused and motivated after changing to raw the first of March. I bought a blendec that I'm lovin!! and is a huge help. I have gone small stretches as a vegetarian but first time going raw. After many years of allowing myself to be influenced by another to eat unhealthy and I feel recklessly...I have taken control of my life and committed myself to a fresh start and a new raw lifestyle. I did well in March...did cheat a few times but got right back on track, conquering those cravings for cooked food and meat. I have released some weight...not sure how much because I don't own a scale but my clothes are looser and people have been noticing!! I'm going to buy a scale to track my progress. I don't want this to be a weight loss plan, I want to change my life and at age 44 slow down my aging process and prevent illness. I'm excited to be a part of this group because it seems like you are all so loving and supportive toward one another. I'm looking forward to learning and contributing when I can

Hi Christy!

Going raw has been the greatest adventure of my life! Today is my 39th birthday and I hear you about slowing down the ageing process! Raw really does. Lately I've been doing lots of sprouting and its like the electricity of youth coming back into my body. We are one of the warmest, most supportive raw communities on line, trust me, I peruse the others. We can be a wonderful support system for you! Let us know how youre doing! Did you get the Living on Live Foods yet?

Hi Christy!

I am also going on 44...shhhh! lol. I feel the same way as you , even though I need to lose weight I don't want to make this a weight loss deal but a health deal. I havent weighed myself yet. And prob wont for some time yet.
I am also with you about taking responsibility for letting oursleves join in the eating habits of our hubbies! Sadly it was too easy and changing it is a little bit harder.:( But we will do it! :excited:
Heres to a very successful change in our lifestyles and our health! Cheers!:juicy:

I'm a year younger than you, but right there with you! My boss has been mostly raw for the last 25 years and he has amazing energy and never gets sick. I want that! (he wants me to have that too! LOL).

I'm pretty new here too but wanted to welcome you onboard! I'm looking forward to hearing how it is going for you. :)

That's awesome Lani!! I'm sure that's a huge motivation for you that your boss is a raw foodist. I have a lot of support at work too. Everyone is working out and eating alkalizing foods...kind of a team effort. My boss and coworkers add greens to their water but haven't gone 100% raw yet, although they might..haha :)

I turned 50 in September and also want to halt this aging thing, lol. I am feeling so much better! Renewed energy, no afternoon slump, better complexion, much needed sleep! It is fun to experiment with recipes, too! This is a wonderful group. I try to visit everyday to stay motivated. They are all awesome! Welcome!

Thanks Spiciy :) Welcome Lesla, I do more lurking here than posting but have learned a lot so far. I log on every day too...sometimes several times a day. Seems like I'm somewhat obsessed right now but it's keeping me on track and motivated. I really appreciate each and every person on this board. I know being here will make a huge difference in my journey.
