HELLO!!!!!
I am back finally after a long 10 day stay pet sitting for a neighbor! It was awesome having a mini-vacation but it was dreadful being away from RFT! So glad to be back.
I road my bike for 30 minutes today. I moved it downstairs so I could have more privacy/my own room for working out (used to be in the dining room, don't ask me why! hehe)
I have a weight bench that has just been sitting in the basement and I plan on weight training this spring/summer. I am going to start out by doing 2-3 days of weights a week. Starting tomorrow with that:woot:
Yoga has been a daily thing for me now, and I'm even trying to convince my mom to try it. She liked pilates and refuses to do any other sort of "work out" so I figured I can trick her into trying yoga and she'll fall in love with it. bwa ha ha!
Monk!~ you are right, spring is in the air even more now. It's been colder than normal for this time of year but thebirds singing gives me hope! It rained today... and regardless of how gloomy it was I couldn't stop thinking about how the rain is going to bring beautiful green grass to us! I was ecstatic!
I am more motivated now than I ever have been in the past to stick with my workouts. I am so thankful for this...
Good luck everyone in this lovely month of April... new beginnings, new life... a sense of awakening of the world. I look forward to seeng what everyone's movements are!

yesterday I walked for 2 hours, and was on the bike for about 30 minutes. I also did some yoga. Today i will be walking only about an hour (cause I have work) and probably 20-30 mins on the bike.
Once it gets slightly warmer (steadily around 50 degrees) I will start rollerblading again. yippie!
Happy Monday everyone!

Today I walked 7.5 miles with the pooch! Yesterday was 2 miles, and Monday was 4.5 miles. I love walking!! Is walking between 2 - 7 miles, 4 or 5 times a week a good exercise regime? I guess it's better than nothing!

Ive been doing yoga a lot lately, but FINALLY got out and started jogging today! I only managed to jog for ten minutes today, and didnt get that far. I plan on jogging longer/farther tomorrow though. And will be aiming to go at least 5 times a week.

Hi all! Now that my knee is a whole lot better due to discipline with therapeutic exercises recommended by my awesome body worker, I've been able to add cardio recently to my gym workouts, which I've been improving as knee and leg strengthens. I've been hooping a few time a week too - today was our weekly 2-hour hoop jam, 2 hours of sweat-inducing fun in a place where a circus troupe practices, so there are 40-ft. ceilings etc. for aerial work. I brought some of my raw strawberry macaroons which were a huge hit among the hoopers - high-energy bites without overloading tummy for dancing. A couple of people I talked to there were interested in raw foods, one of them being post-gall bladder surgery a few weeks ago, and a young woman who has had trouble with food allergies. She seemed particularly interested in the green smoothies.
Anyhow, it feels GREAT to hoop dance with just about all my moves now! Raw and hooping is a great combo!

Hey everyone. I acutally moved this week. Ahhhh!
Last Thurs I worked in the yard for a couple hours removing the sludge from the pool cover. What a great ab/oblique workout! Blew off the driveway etc.
Friday-housework at lightening speed with a green smoothie break to sit in the sun and make some vita D.
Sunday-cleaned out the herb garden and pulled weeds for about 4 hours. Wiped the sweat from my chin with my glove and wondered why I had a wet and slippery sensation-looked down to see HALF of a green worm on my glove. The other half was smeard across my chin! AARRRGGGGG! I'm to "city" for that. Ran like a "girl" to wash it off.
Monday-Blessed with 9 iris plants from a client so I had to prep the flower beds and plant them. Then more yard work after dinner,
Tues-Finally a date with Barry (Barry's Boot Camp) Lower Body. I was low energy today but managed to push thru a workout.

I too have not posted in a couple weeks! I have been busy/side tracked but that is no excuse! I take full responsibility for not keeping up.
Today I have been on my bike for 20 minutes. I will be doing a lot of heavy lifting at work so I will count that too.
Tomorrow is a day off and May first already. I will definitely be around for May's accountability. I've missed everyone!
