View Full Version : sun dried tomatoes addict
Hi I was wondering if anyone else eats these--SDT's I call them--after soaking? I rarely if ever eat tomatoes....but i tried some a week ago and cannot get enough of them....However, I find my weight is up 5 pounds in 3 days and I am sure it is not "fat" but wondering if perhaps I am too sensitive to them as my system is senstive as can be?? I combine them with other veggies in a salad like carrots lettuce and zucchini....
Thanks and healthy raw eating TO ALL!!

If you are not making your own, then you may be getting tons of sulfites, which is highly toxic, you may choose to look at your packaging, this alone can cause a major healthy challenge and even death.
Not to alarm, but simply to fore-warn, my hubby Dragggon, is highly allergic to sulphites and if he gets even a tad, will instantly get a massive headache that lasts days. He is currently enduring one that started 3 days ago, even with our sauna, and his healthy life style, it hits him like a rock.
He accidentally got some sulfiltes in a dish a friend made with some pasta (he occasionally will eat something cooked) and the pasts had sulfites added. now he is paying the price. He only had a bite too.
Once, he drank som Dasani water, and keeled over, only one sip, and blamo on the floor. Dasani made by the Coka Cola people has sulfites in it.
So, you may choose to read the label and check. also sun dried tomatoes are a dehydrated consentrated food source, so eating 1 is eating 1/2 of an entire tomato.
And yes, I love them too, we just make our own, so we know what's in them
Thanks for your response..I do know FOR SURE they have no sulfites in them at all. I get them from Wild Oats specifically. I have a horrible time with sulfites , preservatives etc..and I would have been on the floor too.. I am really careful about that. Hmmmm....I knew Dansani water was "Off" my hubby could not taste it..but man i could and got rid of it...how can water have salt in it too?? Weird--As for the SDT'd ?? Maybe my body is not used to them in any form...since i was guided yrs. ago to avoid them due to my Fibromyalgia??

I find that sundried tomatoes are REALLY salty... maybe you're just retaining a little more water? I love them, too! ;)
