Hi everyone,
I am very much new to raw food living!
Can anyone recommend any good recipe books for newbies, preferably books that don't rely too heavily on dehydrators (because I don't have one!.)
Or any good book about raw living in general that I could benefit from?
Many thanks,

Do you have Alissa's book yet? If not there are many easy recipes in her book that don't require dehydration etc.... Her DVD is phenomenal
Live food, i would recommend the book from simplyraw.ca There are many healthy recipe and it is life food, plus you have information on how to sprout, do rejuvelac, to do a cleanse, etc.... And no Dehydration required
Simple book Raw Made easy for Two ... No dehydration required
RawSome By Brigitt Mars. Very informative on nutrient and she has many easy recipe too
p.S you can find many recipes for free if you search too

Hi Raw Angel Mom,
Thanks for your reply!
I don't have any of Alissa's books. Which one did you have in mind, because she has a couple??

Go with the first one, the new book is very raw gourmet. They are recipe from her restaurant.
The one that has a picture of her with a huge red ball tomato on it (Living on live food). You should also get the dvd because it teaches you how to prepare the food and she is so motivating.

Not at all a recipe book, but Raw Emotions by Angela Stokes-Monarch has been one of my all-time-favorie raw living reads! She packs so much helpful info into that book, I can never say enough good things about it.
Also liked High Raw by Kevin Gianni - read that recently. Not much new stuff to me, since I've been studying/reading raw lit for about 8 years, but it was good.
Also, I actually really love Ann Wigmore's Sprouting Book and Sproutman's Kitchen Garden Cookbook because I'm ALL ABOUT THE SPROUT! :woot:
And I post this often, it seems, but another place I love to go for recipes and more advice and support is Raw Food Rehab. It's another support forum similar to this one, but set up differently as far as graphics and web layout. There is a section with a whole bunch of info on books to read.
