I've juice fasted in the past with great results, but I've only done it for 3 days max and didn't have any of the healing effects. I guess it was because I didn't wait long enough. I tend to break them early because of hunger and cravings for solid and "filling" foods. My questions are...
1. What can i do to avoid hunger and cravings during juice feasting/fasting?
2. Can I consume smoothies during feasting/fasting?
3. I drink alot of tea (because I'm british I guess) and I was wondering if boiled water would be ok during juice feasting/fasting?
4. Realistically how long would I have to fast before I get the healing effects. I know people get bad healing crisis' tat last for weeks, but how long would I have to wait before these happen to me?
Thanks alot ladies and gents... :)

It typically takes 3 days before the hunger sensations go away. If you water fast for a day or two at the beginning it'll speed up that transition to fasting mode where you won't be hungry. You can also do enemas during the first few days to clear what's in your colon, this will also put your body into fasting mode sooner. Also doing a salt water flush in the mornings for the first few days will clear your colon and put your body into fasting mode sooner.
Smoothies will keep your digestion going. If you are wanting to juice fast then avoid the smoothies.
Boiled water is ok. I would avoid any tea's with caffeine. But herbal teas are okay.
I've read around a few sites that it takes the body about a week before it reaches a point where it begins the healing process.

There is an entire section on this site about fasting ... and Aleesha can answer all your questions there.
