Alissa's avocado cups are great, but I still like the avocado chutney better. I think a person could actually make the avocado chutney and stuff the avocado cups with that also. I know that is probably how I will do it next time. I made the avocado cups per Alissa's recipe with few alterations. I added a some cayenne, black pepper, and celtic sea salt to make it hot and spicy. Another little trick I would recommend is to dice the tomatoes and then put them in a strainer to drain off the tomatoe water or it will make your filling to watery otherwise. Either way, I like this recipe and I recommend it for anyone.

berrienoire, Alissa's book is great full of wonderful recipes. The stuffed pesto mushrooms will probably be your favorite. I know that I really like them.

Jo-anne, I do like cayenne. However, it is those raw jalapenos that really set recipes on fire. Jalapenos that are the jars at the grocery store are mild at the most, but raw jalapenos are serious.

Oh, I wanted to add that I stuffed some marinated button mushrooms with the filling from the avocado cups and it was good that way also.

Stuffed pesto mushrooms...sounds yum! I'll have to let you know once I get to try them. "Hurry up, book!"

And raw jalapenos, I totally concur. I use them often enough and am always amazed at how little I need to add. Gotta luv em though...
