Some questions about henna hair dye

Has anyone used it before?

I have very fair blonde hair and I want to dye it a rich brown colour. Is the henna likely to leave a red tint in my hair after I have washed it a few times? I have heard this has happened to people before. Can you get henna hair dye that doesn't have any red tones in it? Can you recommend a particular brand?

henna will dye red but you can add indigo to it to get a dark brown. I don't know about the specifics of mixing/ applying though. generally it is 2/3 indigo to 1/3 henna for a dark brown. I think Lush makes pre made mixes that take the guesswork out :)

I've henna'd my hair with lush before-LOVE it! the only thing i have to say is to be careful to do it thoroughly and not let the lower layers stay longer than the top, that happened to me and I had black lower layers and light brown top layers!
