Something with a temperature control. The one that are fixe temperature, they are typically set around 130°F or more. It is too high.
If you can, get one that has a timer as well, It is so handy. A dehydrator is only a fan with something that produce heat, probably a thermal resistance.
Usually a dehydrator that is close to an excalibur shape are better. I am use you can find a second hand at a good price.
All the best
p.s Save money every week to get a good one

IMO, getting something cheap because you get a discount is like going to a doctor because you have insurance. Not the best way to live.
If you search here, this question has come up NUMEROUS times and the answer is ~ Excalibur 9-tray, with or without timer.

I'm biased because it is what I own, but I recommend the Excalibur 9-tray, just like Revvell said. It's pricier, but definitely worth it in the long run.
For me, I've gotta have the best! I could certainly have gotten a cheaper dehydrator, but wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly as much as I do with my Excali.
