Hello Everyone!

My name is Malloree and I am currently living in Montana. My husband, daughter and I moved here in Aug. '10 for my husbands job. I am originally from Florida and had been residing in Clermont for about the last 5 years. We hope to move back there by the end of the year. I never realized how much of a Florida girl I was until we moved away. I am a stay at home mom to my 20 month old daughter. She is absolutly amazing and I just love her so much!:throwhearts:

I have been on so many diets throughout my life and I am just so sick of the cycle:sad:I never really had an issue with my weight until after I had my daughter. Now I have been left with stretch marks and lots of xtra LBS.

Anyway, I found this site about a week ago and have been reading into the effects of the raw diet. It makes so much sense! I started eating raw on Monday so today is my 4th day. I have given up coffee and feel fine! The first day a had a pretty killer headache but I already feel so much better. I am excited to eat, I actually look forward it! I am so used to being on cruddy diets where I constantly have to count calories and miss out on flavor. I am excited to feel better inside and out and get back to my old self. I have felt such seperation from the body that I am in and who I am. I am excited to be able to connect with people who want the same things and have positive goals.

I look forward to talking to you all! Cheers!-:woot:

Hi Mallorree,

Welcome! Sounds like you're off to a wonderful start. I know what you mean about being excited to eat raw foods. That's one of the best parts of it, I love saying to friends and family, "Try this pudding/cracker/whatever, it's raw, and it's sooo good and it's so good for you, can you believe it??" It's that feeling of excitement that keeps me raw, I think!

The first 30 days or so are the hardest, so just try to keep your momentum and energy up, and know that you're in the hardest part (beginning) and it gets easier as time passes. Although it sounds like you are enjoying yourself, so not sure why I am trying to motivate you through the hard parts, lol.

Keep us posted on your progress! And yes, positive goals are what it's all about. Does your DH support you with this whole "raw food thing"?

Thank you for the welcome Laura-Jane and Sport! I really appreciate it.

Laura-Jane- Yes, my husband is pretty suppostive of my eating raw. I make him and my daughter lots of dinners that have veggie incorporated into them so its been pretty easy for me to just put some aside that don't get cooked. Eventually, I would like to try some more extensive recipes, but for now I am just making it as simple as possible for myself so I have no excuses! So far so good!
