I need one that takes the sheets- or i suppose i could cut the sheets to fit the round kind or something, but i make a lot of 'wetter' meals.... Can you guys suggest a cheaper dehydrator that can last until i can save for an excalibur?

I have tested a Nesco for a client and was impressed with it as a starter D but would of course prefer the Excalibur. You just have to be creative with the shapes. You don't need the Teflex sheets for it because it comes with two types of trays. :)

My coworker has a Nesco, she's not raw but likes to make raw treats.

She says her Nesco takes a long time to dry things, but other than that she has no complaints.

I just saw that Excalibur sells reconditioned units for less. A nine shelf for $169.
