Michelle, grind Alissa's raw oat flakes to a flour then add almond butter, honey, and enough water to make a good dough. Roll into balls, mash with a fork, and dehydrate. You can make them as thick as usual because the oats do real well even thick.

This sounds so scary good!

I was a very good home chef - and have considered for some time to go to culinary school. I grew up watching Julia Child and the Galloping Gourmet ( et al ) since I was out of diapers - so I cooked A LOT, I canned, I tried smoking foods, I grilled, I wok'd, baked, braised, micro'd ( won't touch one now ) - and during the holidays, I baked for days on end. I may not have eaten it all, but I baked and baked.
Every year I make up a new creation to build with gingerbread - last year we made a Hobbit Hole. ( we don't eat our "buildings", just look at 'em ).

But, COOKIES.. oh my.. did I make COOKIES, and pies, and caramels, candies ( soft and hard-boiled stage )...

How RELIEVED I was that I could make all of the above - ( minus the hard-boiled candies ) including FUDGE!!! - with my dehydrator!

I was brimming when I informed my kids that we could still "bake" for the holidays..and Mommy will make sure you have plates of treats - just like before. The actually breathed a sigh of relief, just as I did.

Now.... giving it away.... hmmmmmm.....
