Mmmm - those both sound great.

This morning I had:

2 apples
handful raisins
dash honey
cinnamon
1 Tb ground flax

I mixed all that in the food processor then added a little nut milk and a cut up banana. Oh man, sooo good. Who knew apples could taste like real porridge? I'll probably add some dehydrated buckwheat or grawnola once I get a batch done just to give it a satisfying crunch. :eat

I make a wonderful granola with a variety of nuts/seeds, cinnamon, dates, raisens and fruit.

I add a handful of the granola to a bowl of fresh chopped fruit (ex: apple, pear, banana) topped with almond milk. Tis very good. I sometimes add an additional sprinkle of cinnamon, or nutmeg.

Some days I will add soaked oat groats for a 'chewier' more oatmeal like texture.

Lots of nice breaky ideas here. I always put pumpkin seeds on my cereal. And I usually serve with cashew milk or even just water.

Hi, I am OK with gRAWnola part of the time, but when I eat cereal I prefer the flakes. I've been thinking that maybe making a thin cracker then breaking it into small pieces would work, but I'm new to this and I'd appreciate some experienced insight!

I read today that some people get gas from food combos that don't work for them. Since this is my 4th day into almost totally raw (still kicking the breakfast coffee and rice bread toast), I thought it was just my body adjusting, but since it hasn't let up, even with probiotics, I'm wondering if it's the combinations of foods that won't work for me. I did order Alissa's "primer" and am looking 4ward 2 it arriving.

Thanks for all the ideas and support. I've learned a lot and get encouragement from you all. Clare

Four days in your new lifestyle isn't enough for your body to completely adjust to all the new you are giving it. GIve it time... according to 'several experts' food combining is more important WAY down the road when your body is completely attuned to the raw livestyle. Of course YMMV.
