HI Everyone
after a full week of obsessing I went down to get my dehydrator...and guess what.... SOLDOUT! So... that had me thinking, I do know how to many some amazing raw treats that can be frozen. Macaroons, fudge balls, raw vegan cheesecake, etc... can anyone tell me on the "health scale" if these are better or worse than the dried kale chips, dehydrated cookies, dehydrated macaroons, etc, etc? Because if the DH stuff isn't a healthier alternative than the freezer stuff, I might just stick with my frozen desserts and eventually wean myself off treats altogether!!!
Thanks for some insight.
Shanti

Don't compare with kale chips. They are the only example without sugar but loaded with vitamins. They win every time.

And what about simple dried fruits? The ones without the sulphur? Surely they are a better option?

I don't use my dehydrator for sweet stuff very often. For sweets I tend to make pudding, brownies, that sort of thing, which doesn't require the D.

But I do use my dehydrator a lot for savory things, like kale chips, crackers, veggie burgers, neat balls, etc.

See how you get along without it. You'll know when you're ready for it.
