Soaking nuts for recipes in the book

Hey everyone. I finally got Alissa's book and DVD and am loving it! I am wondering, however, if we should be soaking the nuts for all the recipes in the book? It doesn't specifically say to, and on the dvd she didn't soak most of them. Thanks!!
