If I want to use something instead of honey, is the agave ratio 1:1? Also, is there another sweetener I could use?

Wow, good question. I know that agave is sweeter then sugar so you would use half the amount, but I'm not sure about honey.

I'll be interested to learn this myself.

A basic 1:1 rule of thumb is fine to follow and should work out great.

However, agave is sweeter than honey, so you might want to alter the amounts just slightly--a little less if you're using agave, a little more if you're using honey.

Either one works.

I love combining the two together to make the flavor of the sweetness more complex.

Except that wouldn't be vegan then . . .

I think it is way to easy to get too technical. If you use honey then some people say it is not vegan, but if you use agave then it is not truly raw. Which would you rather consume?

Personally, I use both. I see nothing wrong with either
