Brendan Brazier's Vega Products

Hi Everyone
I posted this on the recipe section, and Im sorry for posting again, but I didn't get any response there, so I wanted to broaden the scope. I can't find the answer on line either.....

Brendan Brazier is a vegan and mostly raw athlete . . . he makes some very expense and said to be phenomenally healthy raw products, most of which are RAW. But ... I dont know whether his protein and chocolate powder is raw? Is it possible for it still to be healthy if one component is somehow not raw? Thanks for any advice and my apologies for double posting...Ill contact the manufacturer directly if nobody knows :)

I don't know if it is, but I had some of one of his smoothie powders and it was so gross I couldn't even drink it. I got it from a friend who hated it and wanted to see if anyone liked it. Don't do it! :D

Ahh, thanks for the warning, but that's just the problem. I have two of his products and they're really expensive! I was wondering if I can't somehow use them still. . . . .

If you've already got them, just use them. :)

Especially if they are expensive, I know I'd hate to waste stuff like that.

What are you wanting out of the products? I believe that anything you can get out of those sorts of products you can get out of fresh fruits, veg and greens and some nuts and seeds. These types of products are not needed. I have Sun Warrior protein powder, I just wanted to try it for the taste (I quite like it!) but won't buy it again.

I used it for my first 9 months of being raw now I use sun warrior. It was probably the only thing in my diet that may not have been all raw.
I like the product very much and would use it again.

I really love it...... and he provides amazing recipes using them, some of which he does say are "raw". I can't throw it out although I may not buy it again, but I find it hard to believe that it isn't good for me . .. .even tho not raw....

Personally, I thought his products tasted fine. I've had the Whole Food Health Optimizer meal replacement powder and it was very palatable to me. I should note that I got berry flavour though, and I heard the other flavours are gross, lol. I've also had his Vibrancy bars (one of them was attached to the Whole Food Optimizer as a free sample) and it was really tasty actually! Those bars are VERY expensive to me though, about $3 each and I would never buy them myself.. But they're packed with lots of good stuff.

I've been taking HFO every day and Vega Sport on workout days. Both products are 65-70% raw. Yes, expensive, great products but frankly more and more I'm subscribing to the idea of living from produce...reducing consumption of anything that is packaged or processed in some way. This idea was inspired by a couple of raw athletes who have recently made the same change and continue to thrive. Bottom line...if you eat a good variety of fresh produce, you should get all the nutrition you need to excel no mater what your physical demands are.

I tried one of his power bars once...didn't like it. But that's not really a fair or complete review. I know of a lot of people who enjoy his stuff.

I buy his product and use them often for my daughter's smoothie. He is a man of integrity and he doesn't necessary advertize his product as raw due that some ingredient could have used heat more then the recommended guideline. I think this is what he said to my husband when he came to the raw food festival.

Read the package, his protein powder and bar are raw enough for me. I am not religious with perfection but i am with what i eat that is 100% free of armful ingredient. I feel at peace to use his product.

There is another protein powder in the area that is guaranty to be 100% raw sun warrior as mentioned in other post. I never tried this product yet.
