It's been 2.5 months since i went totally raw. I dropped 10 pounds and have been trying everything to gain them back. I eat nuts, avocado, coconut butter, olive oil, protein powder, hummus. Still not even one pound gained. I also started working out -- nothing.

I also have a severe lack of energy and feel dizzy and faint frequently. My stomach has never stopped getting upset often and instill sometimes have a problem with gas and nausea. I also have a big problem with brain fog.

As a plus, my allergies are gone.

Any advice??? Anybody else experienced this??

Perhaps your gas, nausea and brain fog are related to you trying to gain your weight back? Perhaps your body doesn't want all the food you are trying to force it to eat?

Why not... just for a week... try to just eat what you want to eat. Don't worry about what you are consuming... just relax about it all.

And see where that takes you.

So how long have you been trying to gain them back? It won't happen in a week.
Plus, "nuts, avocado, coconut butter, olive oil, protein powder, hummus" is not quite the energy stuff, add some carbs in there.

You are eating away too much fat. It is slowing down your digestion and preventing the flow of food to your cells. Your cells live on simple sugars so give them a lot more of that and they will be a lot happier and bouncing with energy. Your body is using a lot of its calories just trying to break down those fats and not feeding your cells. Your system is in a state of exhaustion.
You will also absorb it better and have a better chance of gaining weight.
When I went raw first I thought that I lost too much weight and I looked sick and bad. I regained a little of it and now now my body fits me perfectly. I look healthy and get a lot of complements on my figure.
You make sure that you get enough calories and get as much of it in simple carbs as you can. Your body will decide what weight it wants to be.

I agree about relaxing.

Have you consider to do weight lifting, or simple push up. If you are consistent, you can gain a huge amount of muscle mass.

You don't want to gain fat but muscle, isn't it? Focus on exercise seriously, visualize yourself succeeding your goal.

I had problem with underweight, i ate a lot of fat, nut, sweetner (all raw of course) and i kept losing. Now, in my diet i have buckwheat, i do coconut, chia seed, hemp seeds, wheat grass juice, i seem to be normalize now. When i went so low in weight, i started to eat steam vegetable again with rice, i gained the weight but my energy went so low. I went back to 100% raw.

Sometime, our body wants to release all the bad fat that has chemical in them and replace it with the good fat.

Don't give up on raw food, your allergies are already gone, this is amazing!

Thanks guys! I am trying not to give up. I want to be raw, but I find that I really don't like the taste of almost anything unless its complex, fancy, and largely resembles cooked food. This is a problem for my budget!
